In a significant move towards advancing gender diversity in the transport industry, the Women in Bus and Coach Initiative (WiBC) has announced that it has appointed its first-ever Board of Directors. This milestone appointment brings together a diverse group of industry leaders committed to promoting inclusivity within the bus, coach and community transport sector.

The newly formed board represents a blend of accomplished women professionals and male allies renowned for their leadership and dedication to gender equality in transportation. Their collective expertise spans various critical areas such as operations, safety, policy, advocacy, finance, marketing and technology, reflecting the multifaceted nature of the sector.

Louise Cheeseman, Chair of the Women in Bus and Coach Initiative, expressed excitement about the appointment, stating, “I’m thrilled to welcome such a distinguished group of leaders to our board. Their collective expertise and passion for fostering diversity and inclusion will undoubtedly drive meaningful progress in our industry.”
