The five-year contract will see RATP Dev USA operating both fixed-route and paratransit services for the City of Raleigh and Wake County, involving the management of 185 vehicles and 450 employees.

RATP Dev USA, the North American subsidiary of the public transportation provider, has announced that it has secured an operations contract with the City of Raleigh and Wake County Access. The five-year contract, with the option for up to four additional years, will cover both fixed-route and paratransit services, and is set to begin on 23 April 2023 for fixed routes and 1 July 2023 for city and county paratransit services.
The contract involves the operation of 185 vehicles and the management of 450 employees between the two sites. According to RATP Dev USA, its experience in providing high-quality transportation services made it an ideal partner for the City of Raleigh and Wake County.
Mike Birch, Regional Vice President of RATP Dev USA, said: “We are thrilled to have been awarded this contract with the City of Raleigh for GoRaleigh and GoWake Access. We look forward to working closely with both organisations to deliver high-quality and efficient transportation services to the residents of Raleigh and Wake County.”

This new contract will mark the fifth and sixth locations that RATP Dev USA manages or operates in North Carolina.
