InnoTrans 2018 is quickly approaching and there’s already exciting news coming from the Messe Berlin ahead of the action starting on 18 September.

With demand for space surpassing capacity, we’re pleased to announce that for the first time ever, Intelligent Transport – along with our colleagues at Global Railway Review – will be exhibiting at this year’s InnoTrans. You’ll be able to find us in Hall 6.1 at Stand 118, and GRR in Hall 23, Stand 411. Our teams are looking forward to meeting the people running the industries we’re passionate about, so don’t forget to drop by to talk and pick up your free subscription and magazine.

This year’s InnoTrans sees transport companies from around the world coming together to offer their expertise, insight and solutions. New mobility solutions have been emerging rapidly from every corner of the globe, and InnoTrans will welcome 22 transport companies from as far afield as China, Dubai, Kazakhstan, Japan, South Korea and Ukraine.

With new mobility solutions comes more innovation – something that InnoTrans will not be short of this year. A number of innovative solutions will debut at the event this year, from glider-type vehicles to sustainable, next-generation rolling stock.

Alongside this, InnoTrans will host its first-ever Hackathon this year in the form of the successful Hacktrain 4.0. Hackathons have become big business in recent years due to the rising use of new technology in the transport industry, and at InnoTrans, participants at the CityCube Berlin will focus on algorithms, bots and prototypes, with the aim of developing new ideas for networked mobile solutions.

Sustainability in public transport will also be a key focus at this year’s event, and a static display of electric buses will be combined with a 500m long test track for demonstrating the sustainable vehicles. Trade visitors at InnoTrans will be able to familiarise themselves with innovative developments from four new exhibitors.
