Vulog, the shared technology firm, and Citymapper, the transportation application, have announced that they will collaborate to increase the availability of shared mobility services through the Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS) aggregator.

The agreement, announced at MOVE London and effective immediately, allows for mobility operators, powered by Vulog, to display and give access to their vehicles via the Citymapper application.

“We are very proud of this collaboration with Citymapper, a driving force in the MaaS technology revolution,” said Vulog CEO, Grégory Ducongé. “Together, we are working to make MaaS a reality, easing the life of urban city dwellers by making mobility enjoyable, accessible and sustainable.” Citymapper and Vulog are integrating their platforms so that users can access the vehicles of Vulog clients, including fleets of electric cars, mopeds, kick-scooters and mixed schemes.

On average, Vulog powers approximately 20 million rides per year in over 30 cities around the globe and is expected to bring its operations to 60 cities by the end of 2020. 15 of these cities lie within the coverage of both Vulog and Citymapper. “We are excited to work with Vulog to provide more shared and electric mobility options for our users,” commented Citymapper President, Omid Ashtari. “We know that people are using an increasing variety of mobility options to get from A to B. We aim to be the most comprehensive mobility app in our cities, something we couldn’t achieve without the engagement of shared mobility providers such as Vulog.”
