moovel presents “Mobility Budget” at the Global Public Transport Summit

moovel (becoming REACH NOW) presents the “Mobility Budget” which enables employees to book and pay for various mobility options based on apps.

The moovel (becoming REACH NOW) Group GmbH will be present at the Global Public Transport Summit (GPTS) in Stockholm from 9 to 12 June 2019 in Hall A. In addition to the current product portfolio, the Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS) pioneer will be presenting the “Mobility Budget” for the first time. The GPTS has been around for 130 years and is according to its own data the largest fair on sustainable mobility.

With “Mobility Budget,” employers provide their employees with a flexible monthly budget for their daily commute to work and for free time, which can be used for all types of mobility options. Employers can automatically distribute funds to their employees accounts via the moovel apps that are stored for private use for the entire calendar month. Employees can use the “Mobility Budget” credit based on their personal preference and book and pay for various mobility services using moovel’s multimodal apps. The service includes bus and train, car sharing services car2go and DriveNow, the ride-hailing service mytaxi, and rental bikes. All offers can be booked and paid for directly via moovel apps – depending on availability in the respective city. The app-based offering is being tested by 3,000 Daimler Financial Services employees in Germany as part of a pilot project.

moovel products used by over seven million people

“The Global Public Transport Summit is the ideal platform for us to present our MaaS platform and our latest innovation ‘Mobility Budget’ to international visitors.”, said REACH NOW CEO Daniela Gerd tom Markotten. “We are delighted that more than seven million people already use our products today. Now, with the ‘Mobility Budget’ we have an offer that is very well received by companies. More and more companies want to offer their employees solutions that go beyond a company car and rely on the flexibility of MaaS.”

In addition to the “Mobility Budget,” additional MaaS offerings will be presented in Stockholm: With moovel’s on-demand technology, the tech company offers supplement to local public transportation that can be used as another transportation option when transit service is sometimes less frequent or underserved such as in the evening. For example, since October 2018, moovel’s on-demand technology has been providing ride-sharing trips in Mercedes-Benz vehicles in Los Angeles, CA and since June 2018 in Stuttgart, Germany. Also, moovel North America’s Fare Connect technology will be presented at the conference: Fare Connect combines the power of moovel’s mobile ticketing software with the speed and simplicity of contactless validation technology without the need of showing a visual ticket to a public transit operator. moovel will also showcase support for digital marketing services and technology that has proven to be successful across a variety of public transit agencies to help increase awareness and app downloads.
