Transdev unveils plans for new customer app and retail website in 2024

Transdev has announced its ambitious plans to launch an all-new customer app and retail website in Spring 2024, aimed at simplifying and improving the bus travel experience for passengers.

The company had initially introduced the ‘Transdev Go’ app in 2017, and in the wake of post-pandemic business recovery, the usage of the app has doubled within 18 months to February 2023, attracting over 100,000 users monthly. The existing app, Transdev Go, has become the preferred choice for up to 40% of customers purchasing tickets before their travels.

In a strategic move to build on this success, Transdev has enlisted the expertise of Rise Digital Media, based in Bexley, to develop and maintain the new Transdev Go app and website. This move marks a shift from its previous supplier, Passenger.

Transdev Commercial Manager, Matt Burley, said: “Our all-new Transdev Go app will offer a simpler ticket purchasing experience with new ways to pay, while placing a clearer emphasis on our well-established and popular brands with an even easier path for our customers to find their ideal ticket and journey.”

The new app and website are set to feature enhanced ticket purchasing options, streamlined payment methods and a user-friendly interface that prioritises Transdev‘s established brands. The aim is to make the customer journey from planning to completion even more straightforward.

Matt Burley added, “We know how important it is in today’s tech-driven marketplace to continually improve our online presence, and we’re looking forward to developing new ways to communicate with our customers.”

The final touches are being applied to the new app and website content and designs, with Transdev promising to reveal more details closer to the anticipated Spring 2024 launch. The partnership between Transdev and Rise Digital Media is expected to redefine the digital landscape for bus travel, offering passengers an advanced and seamless experience in line with modern technological advancements.
