Transdev has announced that it has extended its maintenance partnership with Mountain Metro Transit (MMT) and the City of Colorado Springs. The partnership renewal re-affirms Transdev’s commitment to ensuring the reliable and safe operation of MMT’s transit fleet.

Under the agreement, Transdev will continue to manage the maintenance and repair services for Mountain Metro Transit’s fleet as part of the agency’s Transit Fleet Maintenance Program. With 169 vehicles in its care, Transdev plays a crucial role in maintaining the vehicles’ safety and reliability, especially as MMT continues to experience record-breaking ridership.

“We are proud of the relationships that we have built with the community and its stakeholders as a result of operating in the region for nearly a decade,” said Ron Bushman, Regional Vice President for Transdev’s Rockies Region. This extension of the partnership reflects Transdev’s dedication to serving the Colorado Springs community.

Mountain Metro Transit, serving the Colorado Springs area, has seen its ridership grow significantly during the summer months, underscoring the importance of well-maintained, reliable and safe vehicles that passengers can trust. Keeping the fleet in optimal condition remains a priority for both MMT and Transdev.

“Keeping our buses well maintained is a priority for MMT,” said Lan Rao, Transit Division Manager for Mountain Metro Transit. “Well-maintained buses are critical for safety and keeping the service our riders expect and need. As stewards of taxpayer dollars, it is also important to keep our buses running for as long as possible. We feel Transdev understands this and are confident they will continue to make sure that these priorities for vehicle maintenance are met.”

Ron Bushman added: “Based on our longstanding relationship with MMT, we understand their maintenance and service expectations and standards and know the landscape, passengers, the community and the operating conditions. We feel this knowledge, combined with our dedicated team and commitment to safety, can continue to bring value to our client for many years to come.”
