Through a strategic partnership with EHang, the Austrian city will reportedly become Europe's first UAM pilot city.
The development of the E-port aims to accelerate the commercialisation of autonomous aerial vehicles (AAV) in the travel and tourism industries.
The pilot will be carried out by EHang, a Chinese autonomous aerial vehicle (AAV) technology platform company.
This is said to be the first operational flight permit for long term testing flight of Ehang's air taxi - EHang 216 - in Europe, which aims to lay foundation for the future of urban air mobility (UAM) operations in other EU countries.
EHang reportedly has three main business pillars: urban air mobility (including passenger transportation and logistics), smart city management and aerial media.
