The Alliance, with a new board of directors, will continue to create foundations for a common approach to MaaS, with the main goal to facilitate a single, open market and full deployment of MaaS services across Europe and beyond…
The new MaaS Alliance Board of Directors, recently elected at the General Assembly on 7 June 2018, comprises of individuals including Jacob Bangsgaard from ERTICO – ITS Europe, Thomas Møller Thomsen from FIA Region, Joost Vantomme from ACEA, Carme Fabregas from ATM Barcelona and Nick Jones from Transport Systems Catapult.
Also incorporated in the board are representatives from Uber, PTV, Cubic, MaaS Global and Enterprise.
The MaaS Alliance General Assembly included a series of important topics: the adoption of the accounts from 2017, the review of the activities carried out since the beginning of 2018 and those planned for the second half of the year, as well as the advancement of the work done in the working groups.
MaaS Alliance was pleased to welcome the European Commission and new partner, SAE International, to the General Assembly. Eddy Hartog, European Commission, discussed the European Commission’s initiatives on data economy and Annie Chang, SAE International, presented SAE International and their work on MaaS.
Jacob Bangsgaard, ERTICO – ITS Europe, commented: “Considering how much the MaaS Alliance has achieved in the past two years, I am excited to build upon this momentum in the upcoming term and make MaaS Alliance stronger, for the benefit of our members and the Mobility-as-a-Service sector as a whole. MaaS Alliance is a unique platform and I am delighted to have been re-elected as its President, to support its work and to provide a bridge between this organisation and the many related activities of ERTICO”.
