The Mâconnais Beaujolais Agglomération Community Council has renewed its partnership with Transdev Mâconnais Beaujolais (MB) for another five years, entrusting the company with the operation of the Tréma network until June 2029. This decision comes as part of a broader initiative to enhance mobility services and promote sustainable practices within the region.

During the council meeting held on 4 April 2024, the agreement had been solidified, setting ambitious goals for the expansion and improvement of the Tréma network under Transdev MB’s stewardship. Key objectives outlined for this new phase include the implementation of a more extensive and efficient network, incorporating two additional lines, including a second free shuttle bus, to better serve the community.

Moreover, Transdev MB has committed to revamping its image and marketing strategy, aligning with the community’s aspirations for a more sustainable future. The company will play a pivotal role in supporting the Mâconnais Beaujolais Agglomération’s ambitious energy transition project, with the ultimate aim of achieving a fully carbon free fleet by 2029.

The envisioned fleet composition by 2029 is set to include six minibuses, three midi-buses, two standard electric buses and nine standard hydrogen buses, a testament to Transdev MB’s commitment to cleaner and greener transportation solutions.

Expressing delight at the contract renewal, Transdev MB representatives highlighted the constructive negotiation process and the shared commitment to meeting the region’s evolving transportation needs. Ludovic Jourdain, Alexandre Periès, Jasmin Deschamps, Sylvain Ferret and Virginie Gardey, alongside the guidance of Loïc Rossignol, have been acknowledged for their efforts in securing this partnership extension.
