Île-de-France Mobilités has announced that it is rapidly expanding its regional Transport on Demand (TàD) services, providing more accessible and efficient transportation options for residents in various areas of the Île-de-France region. This initiative has seen the creation of new services and improvements to existing ones, aiming to cater to the diverse mobility needs of residents living far from urbanised transport networks.

A total of 41 TàD services now serve different regions in Île-de-France. The service has already transported over a million people, representing a growing shift towards more accessible transportation solutions for underserved regions.

Valérie Pécresse, President of Île-de-France Mobilités, said: “The transport revolution is not only about new trains and metros, but also the creation of a new public service, a mobility solution in the outer suburbs and rural territories. And it works! 41 Transport on Demand services have already been created, and the dynamic is underway to add more in the coming years.”

Île-de-France Mobilités had developed the regional TàD service to address the demand for mobility solutions in areas where traditional public transport like buses or coaches might not be suitable. TàD complements the existing transport network by offering services that help residents reach stations, bus lines and essential facilities like hospitals, shopping centres, cultural venues and more.

For commuters, the TàD service remains consistent across all regions. After customers book a journey, a vehicle picks them up at a convenient location near their home and drops them off at a pre-determined point on the territory served by the TàD service. Passengers also have the flexibility to make the return journey, providing a convenient and hassle-free experience.

The on-demand service is open to all, and any traveller with a valid transport ticket from the Île-de-France Mobilités network, such as Navigo Pass, Imagine R Card, T+ Ticket and more, can utilise the service from Monday to Saturday, between 09:00 and 17:00, excluding public holidays.

Furthermore, booking a TàD service has been made easier with multiple options, including the TàD mobile app, the tad.idfmobilites.fr platform, as well as telephone reservations available from Monday to Friday between 09:00 to 18:00. This streamlined process allows passengers to access the service efficiently.

As the regional platform continues to evolve, more TàD services are expected to be developed in the coming years, further enhancing the transportation network across the Île-de-France region.
