Lime has announced a new partnership with Régie Autonome des Transports Parisiens (RATP) – the Parisian public transport operator – to help riders connect seamlessly with public transport in Paris.

Starting in 2022, RATP riders can use the RATP app to rent Lime e-bikes and e-scooters in Paris without needing to download or even open the Lime app.

“We’re excited that, for the first time, RATP riders will be able to access e-bikes via the Bounjour RATP app to help make seamless multimodal journeys,” said Garance Lefevre, Lime’s Director for Government Relations. “At Lime, we’re focused on making it as easy as possible to leave the car at home, and innovative partnerships with public transport help to achieve that goal.”

This is Lime’s latest step to further integrate with public transport systems across Europe and the world, and follows similar integrations in Berlin with BVG via the Jelbi app, and in Sydney, Australia via the Opal card. It also builds upon partnerships to further integrate Lime into riders’ daily lives, through apps like Google Maps, Uber, Moovit, CityMapper and more, all of which make it easier to avoid travel by car.

Public transport is vital to creating people-first cities, and Lime has found that its riders consistently use its vehicles to connect to public transport in cities around the world. Lime will continue to partner with public transport agencies in more cities over the coming months as it works alongside cities in their recovery from COVID-19.
