500 Helbiz e-scooters are now available to citizens and tourists in the Italian city through Helbiz’s mobile app.
1,000 e-scooters will join Helbiz’s existing fleet of 2,500 e-bikes across Rome, aimed to offer a safe and sustainable mode of transportation while being seamlessly integrated into Rome's public transportation system.
The company has been awarded a three-year license to begin operating 500 electric, dockless bicycles in Rome, which will reportedly expand to 2,500 bicycles by the end of 2019.
As part of the Miami programme, Helbiz will offer real-time monitoring and data of its scooters to the city, which will be used to gather information about overall mobility patterns and support the development of necessary infrastructure.
