Provided through the Active Travel Transformation Fund, the £20 million funding will be utilised to facilitate the implementation of ambitious active travel infrastructure projects across Scotland in partnership with local authorities.

With more than 1,000 bikes available for hire across 107 stations in the city, Glasgow's residents can use nextbike's sustainable vehicles to explore the region, travel to work, visit friends and family, as well as complete every day activities.
The indicative timeline has considered the earliest period in which LEZs could be realistically introduced using the powers of the Transport (Scotland) Act.
The project aims to provide improved connections between major places in Glasgow, and public spaces, walking routes, new pedestrian crossings, and electric car and bike hire stations will also complement the project.
First Glasgow and Glasgow City Council are committed to improving the city’s bus services, deploying Euro VI technology vehicles that offer more comfort and are more eco-friendly.
