CAF Power & Automation S.L.U. has received the ISO/IEC 15504 certificate…
CAF Power & Automation S.L.U. has received the ISO/IEC 15504 certificate based on the ISO/IEC 12207:2008 Processes Model, corresponding to maturity level 2, also known as “Software Process Improvement and Capability Determination (SPICE)”.
The ISO/IEC 15504 (SPICE) certification provides an international model for the improvement and evaluation of development and maintenance processes for information systems and software products. Furthermore, it enables evaluations to be carried out using maturity levels.
CAF Power & Automation S.L.U. has initially chosen maturity level 2, corresponding to “Project Management”, and it aims to achieve level 3 certification: “Adapted processes – standards”.
With this new certification, CAF Power & Automation S.L.U. has managed to implement a quality system in 2012 by obtaining certifications on three levels:
Certification as a company – ISO/IEC 15504 (SPICE) based on the ISO/IEC 12207:2008 Processes Model at level 2.
Personal certifications awarded to engineers, according to the IEC 61508 functional safety standard.
Certifications for functional safety projects by external independent certification bodies (TÜV – Rheinland).
