The National Railway Company of Belgium has opted for stationary ticket vending machines from Hoeft & Wessel.
The ticketing systems specialist will deliver TVMs of its almex.station series to Belgian Railways (SNCB – Société Nationale des Chemins de fer Belges).
The scope of delivery comprises the effective back-office system almex.office, the ticketing application within the TVMs, full integration in the SNCB system world as well as the integration of the future Belgian MOBIB e-Ticketing system with contactless smart cards.
The ticket vending machines will replace aged existing machines of SNCB.
Specific focus has been applied to using the latest state-of-the-art modules and technologies in order to ensure an optimised customer experience of the SNCB passengers.
In winning the new contract, Hoeft & Wessel continues the success story of the stationary TVM almex.station. Europe-wide, more than 10,000 of the series are currently in operation.
