Luas Citywest is the new 4.2km extension of the Luas Red Line from Belgard to Saggart in West County Dublin.

It opened for passenger service on Saturday 2nd July 2011 and includes 5 new stops located at:

Cheeverstown Stop has a Park + Ride Facility with 312 spaces. The line terminates at Saggart Stop. New Red Line Operating Hours and Frequency of Service came into effect from Saturday 2nd July 2011. See downloads below for travel information.

Luas Citywest has been developed on a Public Private Partnership (PPP) basis between Railway Procurement Agency, South Dublin County Council and a private sector consortium. It is part funded by the Department of Transport, Tourism and Sport and was the first project for which RPA has sought An Bord Pleanála approval under the provisions of the Strategic Infrastructure Act 2006.
