Wrightbus secure new order for StreetLite® from Reading Buses

Reading Buses have placed an order for six new Wrightbus StreetLite® midi buses, following a highly successful vehicle trial.

The order, for the class-leading StreetLite® which brings new design, technology and innovation to the midi bus sector, is for six, 9.5m, single door, Wheel Forward vehicles. They will be used on three separate Reading Buses routes with the vehicles scheduled for delivery by the end of January 2012.

Each vehicle will have a maximum passenger capacity of 70, with seating for 33, and will use the highly responsive and proven Cummins 4 cylinder 160PS iSBe Euro 5 compliant engine matched to the Voith 4 speed gearbox, with integrated hydrodynamic retarder. They will feature a new, distinctive livery design, tinted windows and a six-camera CCTV system for passenger safety and comfort.

Compliant with all current and proposed EU vehicle legislation the new Wrightbus StreetLite® vehicles are fully certified to European Community Whole Vehicle Type Approval and ECE Regulation 107.
