The technical concept of the Spheros CityVent ventilation unit brings a fresh wind into the Latin American city bus market. Due to the high radial blower airflow volume of 2,000 m³/h – specially designed for Spheros – the CityVent also achieves pleasant, uniform air movement in the passenger compartment when the vehicle is at a standstill. Special mention must be given to the highly efficient rainwater separation, which enables the ventilator to be operated even in heavy rain. The concept works with 100% fresh air and satisfies the usual ventilation standards for city buses. CityVent was officially and successfully unveiled to customers at FeTransRio in November 2010. The first ventilators were already installed by Marcopolo, Caio and Neobus at the beginning of the year. Following its market launch in South America the CityVent is due to be presented in other countries including the Philippines, India, South Africa, Turkey and in Europe.
