Stortech’s unique ‘WDR’ Microdome for viewing in high-contrast scenes

Stortech’s CCTV Transport division has developed the D053-DPX microdome camera with WDR ‘wide dynamic range’, specifically for use in mobile applications.

As part of our ongoing commitment to product development, we have introduced our latest microdome in response to the growing number of requests from our customers for a camera that would provide clear pictures where extreme lighting conditions are present.

Whether it’s modern high intensity LED lighting, direct sunlight or on-coming vehicle headlights, the DO53-DPX has the ability to capture extremes of both light and dark images simultaneously to give a perfect picture in all lighting conditions.

Although this product is ideally suited for forward viewing applications, the DO53-DPX is IP66 rated for exterior and interior use. Other features include a 3-axis gimbal for simple set up and easy lens adjustment, together with the optional angled surface mount adaptor.  This camera offers high resolution and low power consumption in a compact size.  The housing is made of a lightweight polycarbonate which is corrosion resistant.
