As a result, the following appointments have been made:

Current East Scotland Operations Director Sarah Boyd (nee Longair) is due to leave the company this month after 10 years with the business.

Stagecoach UK Bus Managing Director Robert Montgomery said: “We are proud of the strength and experience of management at our regional bus companies. We have a dynamic team of managing directors, as well as a good flow of young managers coming through our widely respected development programmes. This has contributed to Stagecoach being the most successful of the UK’s major bus operators over many years. Our devolved management structure allows our teams to engage with local passengers and understand what they need from their bus service.

“I would like to congratulate Michelle, Andrew and Steve on their new appointments and look forward to working closely with them to further improve services and build on our success in getting Britain back on board the bus. I would also like to send our best wishes to Paul, Charlie and Sarah. Collectively, they have played a crucial role in delivering high-quality, reliable and affordable bus services for thousands of people every day and we have benefitted greatly from their experience.”
