The last two Casablanca Citadis tramsets left the Reichshoffen facility on Monday March 25th, 2013. The event marked the end of production for the 74 trains making up the Moroccan fleet, after mobilising 10 Alstom Transport facilities in France and abroad.

Inaugurated on December 12th, 2012, the 31-kilometre line calls at 48 stations. With a length of 65 metres and designed in double units, Citadis trains can carry up to 250,000 passengers daily.

Alstom will also be in charge of fleet and infrastructure maintenance for a 5-year period. Working out of an operations and maintenance centre (CEM), about 40 employees will perform comprehensive, 24/7 maintenance on every train.

This will help deliver 99% train availability from the 37 double trains that make up the fleet after 12 months of operation.
