Gavin Buckley, Mayor of the City of Annapolis in Maryland, U.S., explains how the city’s new flexible on-demand microtransit service, Annapolis GO, is delivering a range of benefits to the city – including less congestion, a reduction in parking issues, economic growth and happier travellers.
The federal funding will benefit 19 transit-oriented development projects that focus on strengthening local economies, as well as improving air quality and access to essential transportation services.
The new depot will provide renewable energy to charge up to 70 electric buses by 2026, in line with Montgomery County’s goal to achieve a zero carbon emission fleet by 2035.
