With the addition of the 201 additional electric buses across its regional bus companies, The Go-Ahead Group's fleet of zero-emission vehicles now totals over 1,100.
Since the introduction of the nationwide £2 bus fare cap in January 2023, Go-Ahead's bus companies across England have carried two million passengers that have utilised the promotional fare.
Building on support that is already in place for customers across Cornwall, Go-Ahead's new Tap & Go scheme will allow bus passengers in the county to benefit from more affordable fares with daily and weekly fare caps in place.
Go-Ahead customers in Cornwall can now benefit from up to 40 per cent reduced bus fares for a four-year period, as the government-backed pilot measures the significance of lower fares in stimulating bus usage across the county.
