Go-Ahead Ireland (GAI) has a clear vision on how to eliminate breakdowns and enable a zero downtime operation using state-of-the-art predictive fleet maintenance technology.

This case study showcases how Stratio leverages data to enable maintenance teams to easily understand the reasons behind potential breakdowns, thus implementing a proactive maintenance approach to eliminate downtime, avoid lost revenue and keep customers happy.

By harnessing the power of data, and using augmented intelligence, this predictive fleet maintenance technology provides real-time actionable insights through a platform that collects, analyses and explains when the next breakdown will happen.

The objectives of the project were for GAI to gain the ability to:

  • Remotely monitor vehicle condition in real-time
  • Early report on faults generated by the vehicle before any driver warning
  • Dynamically plan wear rate of components (i.e. brake pads, discs)
  • Allow integration of predictive maintenance and advanced remote diagnostics with other systems
  • Gather component level data to explore business cost savings and prove ROI.

The Stratio Platform was deployed on different vehicle types and went live for a period of 90 days with the purpose to establish its capabilities and, as a result, the system was implemented in GAI’s entire fleet.
