Infrastructure and rolling stock contracts have been awarded for a new 8km light-rail line in Utrecht, the Netherlands.

Royal BAM Group has been chosen to build the €440 million Uithof Line with construction set to start next year ready for passenger services in mid-2018.
Spanish manufacturer CAF has been awarded the contract for 27 low-floor trams with delivery set from January 2017.
Officials hope to conclude the contract awards before Christmas following a mandatory standstill period.
