As part of the region's push towards providing more affordable and environmentally friendly transport alternatives, Beryl will deliver the West Midlands' new e-scooter hire scheme from June 2023.
As part of the trial extension, Solent Transport will continue to monitor rental e-scooter usage, working closely with local stakeholders in Portsmouth, Southampton and the Isle of Wight to ensure that communities can provide feedback to the trial.
Beryl Bikes by Breeze will provide people across Portsmouth, Southampton and the Isle of Wight with better access to sustainable modes of transport, helping to improve air quality and public health across the Solent region.
The new bike-share scheme will be integrated with Solent Transport’s MaaS app, which encourages commuters to combine active travel and public transport as an alternative to car use.
