Sebastian Yong is Senior Project Manager of System Development, Fare System Sub group, Land Transport Authority, Singapore, where he covers the design, development and implementation of SimplyGo. (Account-Based Ticketing System)
Sebastian holds a Bachelor Degree in Data Communication from the Queensland University of Technology, Australia. and has been working on Automated Fare Collection (AFC) system since he joined the workforce back in year 2000, and have involved in the implementing multiple large scale projects such as the 1st generation of contactless card system (Ezlink) in Singapore, Beijing & New Delhi.
He has joined LTA-Fare Systems in 2015, when LTA is embarking on the journey to implement the Simplygo, which is a new landscape for the AFC industry.
Simplygo System was launched system wide with Mastercard and VISA on 4-April-2019 and 6-Jun-2019 respectively.
