Sebastian Hofer

Sebastian Hofer works in Hamburg for the local PTO Hamburger HOCHBAHN AG as innovation manager, where he focuses on the transformation of public transit towards being the MaaS Operator for the Smart City Hamburg.
Holding a M.Sc degree in mechanical engineering, Sebastian has a strong background in product development coming from the (smart) cycling industry, where he developed award winning bicycles and IoT products with the goal to bring more people on bikes. Being a cyclist at heart he is particularly working on projects regarding micromobility for first- and last-mile solutions to increase the scope of services which are integrated into the multimodal mobility platform switchh.
He is a strategic-thinker, an idealist and convinced that the future mobility needs to be organized by a public authority.
