Christina Hvid

Christina Hvid has since 2013 been the Cheif Executive Officer for Rejseplanen A/S, which is Denmarks digital travel portal – or digital travel planner – containing information about all public forms of transportation. Every day the Danes are using Rejseplanen over one million times to get exact information about how to get from A to B by train, bus, metro, and other forms of public transportation.

Under Christina Hvids management, the number of travellers using Rejseplanen has skyrocketed; it is used more than 35 million times every month and the app has been downloaded over 3.5 million times – Denmarks total population is only 5.7 million people. Rejseplanen is today among the four most popular apps in Denmark, and its traffic data are so accurate and trustworthy that Google, Citymapper, and Apple are using them.

Christina Hvid is a recognized frontrunner when it comes to identifying and implementing new digital opportunities within the field of collective transportation. Her mission is to make collective transportation the easiest and smartest way to travel in Denmark, and her ambition is, in the near future, to merge the data of all public and several private forms of transportation into the digital travel portal.

Christina Hvid holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Economics from University of Copenhagen. She has been Chief Executive Officer for a number of private and public organizations, and her management mantra is ‘growth through development.’ Due to her broad leadership experience, she holds various board positions. In 2008, she was appointed Young Global Leader by World Economic Forum, and she is frequently featured in the Danish press and in high demand as keynote speaker at conferences and conventions in Denmark and internationally.
