Head of Insight, Transport Focus
Ian has spent his career working as an insight specialist dissecting customer experiences across many sectors, including transport, retail, financial services, energy and FMCG. He has worked for client companies, research agencies, consultancies and has run his own company. His current role as Head of Insight at Transport Focus entails growing the organisation’s understanding of transport users. Whilst it would be slightly misleading to claim a masterplan there is a transport theme running through Ian’s CV; previous roles have included a focus on air passengers while at British Airways, and car drivers as Ford was a major client when at Goldfarb Consultants. Under Ian’s helm the National Rail Passenger Survey recently interviewed its millionth passenger, thereby demonstrating that Big Data can come in many forms.
