Blockchain is a technology that has a built-in security mechanism and the capability to create trust networks between individuals or organisations. What is this technology’s inherent capabilities and what is the application to the multimodal and multi operator environment, created by today’s customer’s expectations? Will this technology roll over travel industry’s current ticketing systems in its disruptive manner? Or could it be adapted in order to overcome existing technical limitations? Should we be afraid of it or take advantage of the new possibilities technology offers?
