GIRO wins contract in Nice

An international request for proposals has concluded with the régie Ligne d’Azur awarding a contract to GIRO for HASTUS scheduling and operations-management software. The Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis therefore joins over a hundred French sites that use the HASTUS solution for public transport.

The RLA’s main objectives in choosing the HASTUS software suite are to lay the foundations of a stable and long-lasting scheduling and operations system that is accepted by all stakeholders, to automate repetitive processes and to achieve time-savings.

“We appreciate the confidence that the régie Ligne d’Azur has shown in us and it is gratifying to see that the added value of HASTUS has been recognized,” said Marie-France Lafortune, Director, Business Development, at GIRO. “We are delighted to be able to support the régie Ligne d’Azur in meeting its current and future needs and to share our considerable experience in the public transport sector in France.”

The HASTUS modules selected by the RLA will allow it to analyze run times, set efficient service schedules, and give employees access to Web applications that make communications easier. The RLA will also extend the functional scope of its current tools by adding HASTUS functionalities to optimize daily vehicle assignments and manage service changes.
