Project Manager, Californian Integrated Travel Project (on behalf of CalSTA)

Jim is the Project Manager of Cal-ITP, the California State Transportation Authority (CalSTA) multimodal payment and travel planning initiative, that aims to make it easier and faster to plan and pay for travel on all modes of public and private ground transportation throughout California. By seamlessly connecting inter-city train, light rail and metro, bus, ride-hailing and bicycle share schemes, the CalSTA program will be one of the world’s largest integrated travel initiatives, delivering on California’s commitment to intelligent mobility that is efficient and cost effective for residents and visitors alike.

Prior to joining Cal-ITP, Jim was Program Manager, Next Generation Networks at Amtrak in Washington D.C., where he was involved in a range of rail technology projects including the Northeast Corridor train-to-ground trackside broadband network; on-board passenger Wi-Fi and entertainment; and back-office operational support systems.
