Rachel Geliamassi

Rachel Geliamassi is the hands-on Managing Director (MD) of Stagecoach’s operations in the West of England and Oxfordshire. Rachel joined the transport sector in 2007 through a graduate apprenticeship scheme and worked across England before becoming Operations Director of Stagecoach West in 2014. In her role as MD, she is responsible for over 1,500 employees and over 550 buses, as well as Oxford Tube coach services. 

Rachel is an empathetic and proactive champion of diversity and inclusion and is recognised as a thought leader and role model for a range of wellbeing, EDI and sustainability issues.  

Alongside her role, Rachel is a Board Director for Smartzone in Oxfordshire and is currently setting up enhanced partnership boards within her six county borders, all with the objective of improving sustainable connectivity. Rachel is passionate about partnership and collaboration across the transport sector and is excited to have a leading role in transforming Oxfordshire into an electric bus city.

Additionally, Rachel is an advocate for women in business, a graduate of the Women in Hospitality, Travel and Leisure Female Global Leaders Programme, and a member of multiple business communities.
